Leaf Structure

Recharged by Light and new Impressions

Recharged by Light and new Impressions

Since I made that print in December, that picture has been giving me optimism and delight every time I’m looking at it. Simple and full of light, shaped by shadows and beautiful geometry, like a spring leaf made of metal.

In December, with COVID still making it hard to travel like before, I decided to at least go to Berlin and take the last chance to see the Friedlander exhibit at the C/O Berlin. That move paid out since the exhibit was a feast for my mind and for my eyes and the light outside on that day was a treat to be tasted and enjoyed till the last ray of it.

I took this around noon on my way to the exhibit. With an open and positive mind like on that day I tend to see the world around me differently. And the beauty is that this sensation lasts a lot longer than the liberating mood that is setting my mind and my senses free. Each time I’m looking at the print that sensation strikes me and makes me remember, refuels my batteries. Fascinating how a piece of paper with a 2D picture on it can hold so much energy.
