Well, actually I don’t know it for sure either. During one of my photowalks through the city of Nuremberg I came across this “thing“ made from shiny metal. It is located not far from Germany`s biggest cinema, the Cinecitta. So I walked around the thing and the contemplating began. It looked a little bit like a huge barrel or a food can. In the end I only could speculate about the function of this peculiar object. Maybe it is an exhaust air installation. Who knows it for sure…
About the Shot
Again I had my trusty Minolta XD-7 with a 50mm f1.4 with me. The film loaded into the camera was an Ilford FP4+ shot at box speed of 125 ASA. I liked the bright reflections of the sun on the surface of the “can“ and so I took the shot. The film was later developed in XTOL. I “scanned“ the image with my Canon EOS 700D digital camera and a 60mm macro lens. For post processing I used Adobe Lightroom 6.
